As you all know, on September 2nd and 3rd, Umphrey’s McGee will perform the band’s next iteration of the virtual concert experience, Wrapped In The Round. Baker Prints has designed and printed an all-foil edition of 250 posters and perPINdicular Pins have adapted the art into a limited edition (200) soft enamel pin. Get yours while the getting’s good.

The streams are $24.99 each – or bundle the two for $44.99 and save $5.00. The multi-cam, HD video paired with pristine soundboard audio will remain available on demand for ten days following the event.
For the braver amongst you, we will be offering a limited number of umVIP tickets that give you access to a live, 30 minute(ish) single-song set prior to the September 3rd stream at 6:30 pm CT. Ticket purchasers will submit a song request for their improv vehicle of choice upon checkout. All umVIP ticket holders will also receive an MP3 download of the set. Try not to screw it up, and we’ll do the same.
On the merch front, Wrapped In The Round soft-enamel pins and screen-printed foil posters by Baker Prints will be produced for the shows. Additional order info forthcoming.
As noted previously, at the center of that round will be a bowl filled with your ideas. Every ticket purchased provides you fans an opportunity to submit a Stew Art (S2) theme that will serve as the roadmap for improvisation. You may submit additional themes, and support Team UM in the process, by making a donation via UM Paypal. Please type your S2 ideas in the “add a note” section of the Paypal submission form. One entry for $5.00, five for $20.00, or 20 for $50.00.

In these times, what more is there to be done with a production warehouse full of gear next to a mountain of sound and lights than turning it into an expansive soundstage and unleash a pair of live streamed eruptions?
UM is elated to present Wrapped In The Round, our next iteration of the virtual concert experience. We loved the intimate, stripped-down nature of our Boondock streams, but we have decided to flip the script this time around. Once again eliminating the traditional stage configuration, UM will be performing in the round, utilizing a myriad of different production techniques with our friends at Tourgigs.
To take further advantage of the unobstructed sightlines, at the center of that round will be a bowl filled with your ideas. Every ticket purchased provides you fans an opportunity to submit a Stew Art (S2) theme that will serve as the roadmap for improvisation. Throughout the course of the two nights, band members will randomly pull themes from the bowl and improvise the soundtrack accordingly (past examples have included “Afternoon bus ride in Jamaica,” “Barry White love letter,” and am”Flamenco Metal”).
