“Crucial Taunt” Studio Treatment

“Crucial Taunt” is now available everywhere.

Recorded at TELEFUNKEN’s factory in South Windsor, Connecticut, the UM original “Crucial Taunt” has officially received the studio treatment. The video debut comes from the depths of the iconic microphone manufacturer’s soundstage, filmed as part of their Live From The Lab Series in the Winter of 2019. After a few Nashville overdubs and the first UM mix from Grammy-winning engineer Ryan Hewitt (The Lumineers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Avett Brothers), “Crucial Taunt” is now yours for the taking.

“Crucial Taunt” will be available on all digital download and streaming services, as well as umlive.net and the nugs.net app on Friday, September 13th. In addition, join UM on Thursday the 12th at 2:00 pm CT for the Facebook video premiere where the band will be taking some Q&A in the chat.

For additional information about the recording personnel, microphone selections, and more, head over to TELEFUNKEN for details. Finally, the multitrack files from “Crucial Taunt” will be available for students and tinkerers alike to download, mix, and experiment with.

Inspired by a riff from the legendary Wayne & Garth of Wayne’s World fame, “Crucial Taunt” is a nod to the eponymous fictional band from the classic film. The more you know . . .
