Darby designed this week’s poster for our three night run at First Avenue in Minneapolis. And we dig.

A Flinching Scent of Grey

A Flinching Scent of Grey
“Done with charcoal. Using that medium was a spur-of-the-moment thing, but I love it because it’s so versatile.”

Last Rites

Last Rites
“Done with acrylic paint. It’s also huge; about four feet by three and a half feet.”

Phunk

Phunk
“I painted with coffee, which I found a lot easier to work with than I initially thought. Coffee is like a super-diluted watercolor when you paint with it; plus, that painting smells amazing.”

Hues

Hues
Made with neon acrylic paint. I think it has the most similarity to my Umphrey’s poster, color and image-wise. I painted it with neons purely so I could see it glow under a blacklight.”
