UMBowl Quarters Revealed + Special Guests

We are pleased to unveil the lineup for UMBowl VII, coming at you from Las Vegas, Nevada on May 6th (UMBowl VII) & 7th (“standard” rock show).

This year’s big game includes an UMBowl debut. Making its rookie appearance after a solid performance at training camp is the new All Improv Quarter. Coaches were initially unsure of his reliability but a strong showing earlier this year in Madison, Wisconsin has earned the young upstart a spot on the team. “Early scouting reports proved a high level of confidence in his teammates and a keen sense of awareness on the field, two essentials in the game of the rock,” quipped Coach Stasik. The All Improv Quarter joins a playoff tested group of veterans who are eager to get back to the big game and prove themselves yet again.

Q1: Raw Stewage

Raw Stewage is a set of your favorite pieces of improv stitched together to create a long-form piece of new music. Ticket holders vote on their favorite previous “Jimmy Stewarts” and the band assembles a new game plan accordingly.

Q2: All Request

Ticket holders receive a ballot to select the songs you’d most like to hear, including rarities, new material and Hail Marys. Look for a twist on this year’s ballot as new teams form to result in some unlikely play calling.

Q3: All Improv

As advertised. All Improv, all the time. Here’s to a turnover free quarter.

Q4: Choose Your Own Adventure

Those in attendance will be calling the plays in real time, quarterbacking the music to unfold at your will. Multiple choices will be presented on projection screens and you’ll decide the setlist by voting via text message. You’re in charge, don’t blow it.

And there’s more big news from Team Umphrey’s as a pair of free agents have been picked up off waivers for UMBowl VII. Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band) will don the UM uniform and lend their horn and vocal prowess to the weekend. With their powerful ground game and can do attitude, the playbook for UMBowl VII just got a few pages longer.
