Chicago Reel To Real Premiere

Umphrey’s McGee & Nothing Too Fancy Music are pleased to present the Chicago premiere of Reel To Real, an archival documentary that dives deeply into the early years of the band’s existence. Culled from hundreds of hours of never-before-seen camcorder footage offset with current day commentary about the van & trailer days, Real To Real is riveting for the die hard and casual fan alike.

It’s appropriate The Vic should be home to the Chicago premiere as it was home to many early UM gigs, most notably the final show with original drummer Mike Mirro. Look for The Vic to make several cameos, including some tense backstage moments prior to the 2002 New Year’s Eve show. A Q&A with Brendan Bayliss (Guitar/Vocals), Jefferson Waful (Director) & Kevin Browning (Creator) will follow the premiere. They will take audience questions about those youthful days on the road and discuss the origins of the documentary. Nothing is off limits.
