Two-Leg Winter 2015 Tour Announced

Following three nights in New York, January 16 thru 18, Umphrey’s McGee hits the road with a 26-show Coast-to-Coast winter tour spanning sixteen states. The first leg kicks off in Mississippi on January 28th, includes a double header at Track 29 in Chattanooga, a return to the one and only Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and a number of dates up the North Eastern seaboard. Leg two brings the band back out west, including a return to the Wiltern in Los Angeles, the Fox Theater in Oakland, three shows in two days in Aspen, and a two-night stand at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland. umVIP will be offering packages for Nashville, Aspen, and Los Angeles & Oakland, and will go on sale along with the ticketing pre-sale on Friday, October 24th, at 1:00 pm ET/10:00 am PT.

Umphrey’s is excited to bring along two of our favorite up-and-coming bands on this winter tour. For most of the East Coast dates, Tauk will be joining the party. And during the second leg of the tour, The Revivalists join us on the West Coast. And following our New York run, we also welcome back Joshua Redman, who will perform with us in Los Angeles and Oakland.

Please visit the Upcoming Shows page for a complete listing. We’ll see you there!

Joshua Redman

More on Joshua Redman can be found here:

TAUK is heavy instrumental rock fusion created by Matt Jalbert (guitar), Charlie Dolan (bass), Alric “A.C.” Carter (keyboard-organ), and Isaac Teel (drums). The transcendent instrumental band seamlessly brings together genres as diverse as melodic rock, fusion, gritty funk, progressive rock, ambient, classic rock, hip hop and jazz.

The Revivalists

The Revivalists have been playing nonstop since 2007, crafting a genre-hopping sound that rounds out traditional rock instrumentation with horns and pedal steel guitar and mixes the divergent backgrounds of its individual members with the humid, funky undercurrents of the band’s New Orleans home. The result is like English spoken with an exotic accent: familiar, yet difficult to pin down. The band has a knack for bringing music to life on a stage, and they have tuned their talents to Swiss-watch precision over years of relentless touring. Their bombastic showmanship is the outgrowth of a desire to connect with audiences on a personal level, and that intimate connection is what elevates their shows above simple entertainment.
