10 Years Ago Today

10 years ago today was a memorable show here in the UM camp. A monstrous set list, a metric ton of teases and the rarely seen Mirro marimba bust out made for a fun evening all around.

It was our first introduction to the OM Trio as well (who’ve since retired after achieving world domination). They casually stroll in during sound check while the band is rehearsing a “marimba jam” and look dumbfounded. “I thought these guys were a rock band,” wondered drummer Ilya Stemkovsky (you may know him from such classics as Sludge & Death and Bombtrack), “how the hell did they sell this place out”?  “No idea,” says keyboardist Brian Felix, “Well, their drummer is pretty damn good”, right before realizing that Jake was not in fact the drummer.

As a nod to the days gone by, we wanted to share a Divisions sandwich for you on this fine Thursday. The entire show is available for free on archive.org (but you may need to learn what a .shn file is first). Enjoy!

This setlist has enough arrows to even satisfy @goldlikejoel
