Introducing Game Tapes

As many of you may have noticed over the last few years, we typically run a video camera at front of house to record the wide shot of each performance. Jefferson sets it up next to the lighting/sound position and team UM frequently reviews the game tapes as a coach would watch films. We look at what worked, what didn’t and ask ourselves how we can improve (sometimes we just watch for fun while drinking …

Movember UMLive Sale

Not that we necessarily need a reason, but Movember seemed like a good enough one to rock a new UMLive sale. As has become custom, we’re offering a slew of shows (a whopping 65 for those scoring at home) at half off, $4.95 for MP3s and $7.95 for FLAC/ALAC. Given the sheer volume of discounted audio available, I wanted to take a moment to recap a few personal highlights from the pile. Additionally, we’ve put …

Austin City Limits

As many of you know, this was Umphrey’s McGee’s first time performing at Austin City Limits Festival, one of the world’s coolest musical events.  While I’ve attended the fest four different times, this was actually the first time I was here for the entire weekend.  Located in Zilker Park, about a mile from downtown & the happening South Congress area, ACL is spread out just enough so that stages don’t bleed into one another, yet …
